RAB warned by Parliamentary Watchdog.committee President said, ''We can tolerate one fugitive, but we can't stand injury to general people."
Parliamentary committee suggested that they needed to become more cautious in using firearms during a drive in residential areas.The standing committee on home ministry on Wednesday expressed its concern and warned the paramilitary force to be wary in future during drives in residential areas. Fourteen-year-old Shuvo was shot dead and two other children received bullets on Tuesday in Pagla area of Narayanganj in a clash between RAB and drug-dealing miscreants during a drive by the elite force.
After its meeting in parliament, committee president Abdus Salam told reporters, "The committee has expressed its concern on RAB activities, which in some cases are undermining the elite force's standard. Salam said RAB told the committee that while some of these incidents were accidental and some due to misunderstanding, most of them were exaggerated.

New York-based Human Rights Watch in its report published last month said that the government seems to be allowing it. The report reads that nearly 200 people have been killed in RAB operations since the Awami League government came to power in Jan 6, 2009.
The elite force drew flak from various quarters for shooting at Jhalakati's college student Limon Hossain recently during a drive to nab some criminals, and allegedly shooting Rahima Khatun of Kishoreganj from point-blank range during an anti-drug operation. The government, however, claims the allegations against the paramilitary force are plots to disband it.
